Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 punds. Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete- he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight. Things are still going great with little Jay Jay in my belly. He's still moving a lot but it's more like he's just wiggling in there then doing flips or anything. I go to my next appointment on Tuesday and will receive an internal exam to see how things are progressing. From that appointment on I will go to appointments once a week.
I'm super excited because this week I have two big things going on. First I have my family baby shower on Saturday scheduled. Yay!!! I absolutely can't wait it's going to be sooo much fun:) I have a few ladies from work that are planning on coming as well so it should be a blast! My mom is fixing some yummy enchiladas and guacamole dip and then my mamaw is bringing her famous cheese ball...I know weird combinations but it is what I requested. I love cheese ball and I love mexican soo that's what we're doing.
The second big thing is that Thursday is Mine and Randy's 4th year wedding anniversary!!!:) I can't believe it's been four years, boy how fast time flies. I can honestly say that our understanding and love for each other has just grown stronger and stronger each year and I feel like having Jay Jay now couldn't have been better timing! We are both very ready to begin our adventure with our wonderful new little family. I love Randy very much and am so grateful for all the support and love he has given to me. I can honestly say he is my complete support, when I am weak he is strong and vice versa. I know that was kind of mushy but it was sooo the truth. I love him so very much.

Week 34- My baby cantalope
Your baby weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layer-which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born-are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also msoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies. ( babycenter.com)
I had my appointment today and Jay Jay's heartbeat was at 150 today, so still doing great. He is still very active and things seem to be going really well. Had another contraction a few days ago but nothing that seems to be signalling towards labor yet. I have noticed I have been a little bit more tired and slow than in the previous months which from what I've read is normal. We spent the past few days with Randy's brother Brian and his wife Shannon and baby girl Sadie. It was a blast seeing little Sadie and all that she can do! She is very impressive with her number, colors, and words for only being 2! Also, Shannon took my maternity pictures this week which was super nice of her and as soon as I get them I will post some on the blog for all to see.
Also I scheduled my next three appointments for my doctor's office and at all of those appointments they will begin doing internal exams to see how my progress is going. I will then be going every week after my appointment on the 11th. It is soo crazy that I will soon be having my baby. I just can't believe it!

Week 33
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17 inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood. (www.babycenter.com)
Wow 33 weeks and only 4 more before the baby is actually considered full-term! That is sooo amazing to me. In the past few days I have started feeling more awkward with my baby bump. It's harder to get up and out of bed, I've now created more of a roll out of bed then springing out of bed. I've also noticed that I feel full a lot of the time. I'm still eating but my appetite is definitely less than it was before. I feel like little Jay is squishing my insides.
I love being pregnant but absolutely cannot wait until he is here with Randy and I. I can't wait to see which one of us he looks like and what his little personality is like....it's sooo very exciting!
On other news Randy's brother Brian just let us know this week that they are expecting a boy!! Yay for them! They already have a little girl so it's very cool that they are having a boy now.

32 Weeks- My little Jicama
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair. His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth. (Babycenter.com)
Sorry I'm a few days late in posting this but Randy and I have been so busy the past week that I haven't had time to sit down and post anything. Things are continuing to great with little Jay Jay. I had my doctor appointment today where I found out Jay Jay is still head down, which I figured since I've been getting tons of kicks in my ribs and upper stomach. He is sooo active and I love every moment of it. Not much else is new. Just biding my time until little Jay Jay decides to make his appearance. I hope he decides to stay in their until he's fully ready! The Dr said that I am closed which is a good sign. No signs of labor as of yet, hallelujah. I'm not ready nor do I believe little Jay is ready to make his appearance.

Week 29- My sweet baby
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day. (babycenter.com)
I don't know if I have mentioned this in the past but Jay Jay loves his daddy's voice. At nighttime when Randy and I are laying watching tv or just sitting their talking he moves sooo much. Randy will talk to him and he will just kick and push. I love that feeling. The amazing thing is I can now share every kick and push with Randy now that Jay Jay is able to kick so hard that you can see it. I love my husband and I love this baby and having this baby inside of me that's a part of Randy and myself is the most amazing thing in the world.
On another note I think my nesting phase is kicking into high gear. I don't think I've ever cleaned my house as much as I've done in the past few days. I have rearranged all my closets, taken everything out of the Jay's bathroom cabinet and placed all of Jay Jay's bath stuff in there. I have washed his newborn outfits and 0-3 months clothes. I also decided to use a bookshelf that my Papaw made me years ago for Jay's room. We painted the bookshelf the same color as the room and boy does it look great! Jay only has a few books so far so I spaced them out and put his stuffed animals on the shelf. Also Randy and I ordered the baby furniture friday which was very very exciting and I feel like we got a great deal on it! They told us that we should receive the furniture in 7-10 business days!! Yay!! I absolutely cannot wait!
