37 Weeks Pregnant

37 weeks and 6 days pregnant today! It is so hard to believe how fast time has flown! I went to the Dr on Monday and I am now at 3 cm dialated! Yay!! That's great seeing as I've been stuck at a 1 for almost a month now. I really feel like he's much lower now and I'm hoping he will make his appearance soon and very soon:) It's hard to believe but tomorrow will be my last day of doing my part time job of cleaning at the church I will then officially be a stay at home mom. I'm really excited and feel like this will be great because I will be able to focus more time on Jay Jay and Jayce as well as help Randy more. I love being a mom and really feel like it's one of the greatest things in the world.
Also, below you will find some of the photos I took this Fall Fest of Jay Jay in his Woody costume. He was so proud of his outfit.

32 Weeks Pregnant

I had my 32 week appointment today and so far I've gained 18 lbs in my pregnancy which is great for where I'm at in my pregnancy. I have been having a few contractions the past couple of days so my Dr did check me and found that I am already dilated 2 cm. Due to this and my only being 32 weeks pregnant my Dr wants me to avoid any strenuous activity for a week and that I would need to come in to see my Dr more frequently now. So next Monday I will be going in to get checked out and see where I'm at on my progress. If they check me and I'm continuing to dialate they will possibly put me on bed rest. Other than that bit of news things are going great with the pregnancy. Jayce is moving like crazy, which is so much fun to watch the ripples and elbow punches.

Happy Birthday Jay Jay

So this past Saturday Randy and I celebrated Jay Jay's 2nd birthday. He had a great time and got plenty of gifts. He would open one present and when we'd go to take it away he would freak out and cry so he wanted to play with them and not continue opening the rest of the presents. Below is a picture of the cupcakes I made from scratch. I'm completely happy with how they turned out.

28 Weeks

How your baby's growing:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

How your life's changing:

You're in the home stretch! The third and final trimester starts this week. If you're like most women, you'll gain about 11 pounds this trimester.
At this point, you'll likely visit your doctor or midwife every two weeks. Then, at 36 weeks, you'll switch to weekly visits. Depending on your risk factors, your practitioner may recommend repeating blood tests for HIV and syphilis now, as well as doing cultures for chlamydia and gonorrhea, to be certain of your status before delivery. Also, if your glucose screening test result was high and you haven't yet had follow-up testing, you'll soon be given the 3-hour glucose tolerance test. And if the blood work done at your first prenatal visit showed that you're Rh negative, you'll get an injection of Rh immunoglobulin to prevent your body from developing antibodies that could attack your baby's blood. (If your baby is Rh positive, you'll receive another shot of Rh immunoglobulin after you give birth.)
Around this time, some women feel an unpleasant "creepy-crawly" sensation in their lower legs and an irresistible urge to move them while trying to relax or sleep. If this sensation is at least temporarily relieved when you move, you may have what's known as restless legs syndrome (RLS). No one knows for sure what causes RLS, but it's relatively common among expectant mothers. Try stretching or massaging your legs, and cut down on caffeine, which can make the symptoms worse. Ask your caregiver if you should try iron supplements, which can sometimes relieve RLS.

So in the final stretch of my pregnancy. This pregnancy is flying! I'm getting super duper excited and super duper nervous each week that brings me closer to seeing my Jayce Isaac. I'm still feeling great and I'm finally starting to gain some weight so I should be at a healthy weight when this baby comes. Tuesday I have the 3-hour glucose test which I am hoping goes well.

Second time at the Beach Pictures

More Pictures from our Vacation in California. We ended up going back to Newport beach later on the vacation since Jay Jay loved it so much!
