Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a banana. You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now. (Babycenter.com)
Speaking of activity Jay was very very active on Friday. I felt him kick me for the first time on the outside. Randy and I were watching the basketball playoffs and I guess Jay liked the noise and he startled me by kicking me the hardest he's ever kicked me and continued to do so for about 5 minutes. It was incredible!!! I just loved feeling him move inside of me. Now I've been feeling him move for weeks now but the fact that I could actually feel all of his movement from the outside was the neatest thing in the world!!
So the countdown is on for our vacation to California. We have less than a week and we will be in sunny beautiful Cali!! Yay!!! I absolutely cannot wait!!

20 week baby bump
So sorry that it's taken so long to post this picture but I don't have internet at home so I haven't been able to post it on my work computer. I've finally gotten a chance to post it from church's internet so yay! It sure looks like Jay is getting big! It seems like I'll not grow much for a week or so and then all of sudden boom there's a big change in my belly bump. I'm loving every moment of this pregnancy and I love how people can see that I'm pregnant.

20 Weeks- Halfway there!!
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the size of a cantaloupe. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).(Babycenter.com)
I can't believe I'm halfway through my pregnancy!!! Boy has time flown! Since Randy and I have taken over the young adults class in our church I have been very very busy so besides that nothing much has been going on. Jay has been quiet lately but he reminds me he's here by kicking me occasionally. I love those little kicks, it's the coolest thing in the world to feel your baby inside of you! I have two more weeks until my vacation to California and I cannot wait!!!!!

19 weeks- My baby boy is getting soo big!!
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that he may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to him, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a mango. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
Wow it's hard to believe I am now 19 weeks pregnant! Boy has time flown!!! Randy and I were very busy this weekend so there's lots to update. First of all since we found out we're having a boy we decided to register this weekend to get that out of the way. Plus the choir at our church is throwing us a baby shower on June 13th for the church to come to so I knew I needed to get my registry ready for when they announce the shower in church. I will be having one more shower sometime in early august or late july that will be my friends and family shower. So for anyone that would like to check out what I've registered for you can go to http://www.babiesrus.com/ and just enter my name or randy's name and you should find us under our due date 9/9/09.
For other news we celebrated Easter this Sunday and we had amazing services at church! We had over 700 people in attendance, praise the Lord!! Pastor also announced this sunday that Randy and I will be taking over the church's college and young married's ministry as well as continuing our services as children's pastor. So we will definitely have our hands full but we are super excited about all that God has planned and know that he has amazing things in store.
My mom fixed an amazing Easter lunch for us and we had an easter egg hunt for my niece Brooke and nephews Will and Wyatt. They were so cute watching them going hunting for those easter eggs. It's so hard to believe that soon Randy and I will have a little one to go hunting for eggs and making each holiday special for our little one. Also my sister in law JoAnna and brother Jeremy bought little Jay two outfits which are adorable! I took a picture of them and plan on posting them soon. Also my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law bought little Jay a little bath robe as well as two outfits and those will be placed on the website as soon as I can post them. Thank you everyone that has already bought Jay some things. I can't wait until he's here and he can wear all of them!!
Lastly, Randy and I are so blessed with everything in our lives and I just can't say enough of how grateful I am that God has blessed us with so many things. I can't imagine my life without God in it and I know Randy could say the same thing.

Week 18- My sweet little boy
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.(Babycenter.com)

We're having a...........
So we had our appointment today and we did our ultrasound and it was incredible!! They spent about 20 minutes showing us the head and all of the baby's body parts and measuring them. The great news is everything is healthy and they officially confirmed the due date to be the date we had figured 9/8/09. So onto the big news the baby first had its legs up all the way by it's head and the baby was curled in a little ball so we had to play around with the baby for awhile and finally the baby moved the legs back down and had them crossed and finally gave us the view we needed to confirm that.....
