Week 30- Wow only 10 weeks to go (Give or take some)

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision- which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Babycenter)
I had my appointment today and the doctor said everything looks great! I am now going every two weeks so my next appointment is July 16th. Heartbeat today was 148 and going strong. He's been very very active lately and is constantly moving. He is definitely a Moore that's for sure:) We got our furniture on Friday and thanks to my mom for picking the furniture up and Randy's brother John for taking it up the stairs it got in the nursery without any scratches. I have to say that it looks beautiful!! I can't believe how great it looks. I will take pictures once we have all the decorations up which probably won't be until sometime in August. I might sneak in a picture here or there if I get the chance. Anyways, that's about all the happenings thus far. Everything is definitely going great!

Week 29- My sweet baby

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day. (babycenter.com)

I don't know if I have mentioned this in the past but Jay Jay loves his daddy's voice. At nighttime when Randy and I are laying watching tv or just sitting their talking he moves sooo much. Randy will talk to him and he will just kick and push. I love that feeling. The amazing thing is I can now share every kick and push with Randy now that Jay Jay is able to kick so hard that you can see it. I love my husband and I love this baby and having this baby inside of me that's a part of Randy and myself is the most amazing thing in the world.
On another note I think my nesting phase is kicking into high gear. I don't think I've ever cleaned my house as much as I've done in the past few days. I have rearranged all my closets, taken everything out of the Jay's bathroom cabinet and placed all of Jay Jay's bath stuff in there. I have washed his newborn outfits and 0-3 months clothes. I also decided to use a bookshelf that my Papaw made me years ago for Jay's room. We painted the bookshelf the same color as the room and boy does it look great! Jay only has a few books so far so I spaced them out and put his stuffed animals on the shelf. Also Randy and I ordered the baby furniture friday which was very very exciting and I feel like we got a great deal on it! They told us that we should receive the furniture in 7-10 business days!! Yay!! I absolutely cannot wait!

My First Baby Shower- 6/13/2009

Alrighty so sorry that I had so many pictures to put on here but there was too many that I felt I had to put on here. The shower was amazing!!! I can't thank Nina and our choir for putting such an amazing shower together:) I received tons and tons of wonderful gifts some of the gifts were my high chair, my comforter set, my travel stroller system, my bouncer, my monitor, my whale of a tub, my umbrella stroller and many many more wonderful things. There are some things still on my registry but Randy and I were definitely blessed!! We also had a diaper cake that a lady at my church made that was adorable as well as a lady at our church gave us a handmade Noah's ark. It is beautiful and will look perfect in little Jay's room. I have one more shower on August 8th which is my family shower and I can't wait for that one!!! Yay!! God is good and he has definitely blessed Randy and I:)

28 Weeks beginning of third trimester

By this week your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds and measure 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sports eyelashes. With his eyesight developing , he may be able to see the light that filters in through the womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. (www.babycenter.com)

So lots of new stuff happened this week so this post should be a little longer than normal. First of all had my baby shower Saturday which I will post a little bit later today. It was fabulous! Also Randy and I have decided to purchase our baby furniture this Friday which is super duper exciting!!!

So Here is our beautiful furniture we have picked out. The room is not ours and the comforter that it is showing with it is not the one we picked out either but at least you get a good idea of what the furniture looks like. The people at babiesrus stated that it will take around 7-10 business days for us to get it so we should receive sometime in the beginning of July. Yay!!

Also some more news we have Vacation Bible School this week Monday-Wednesday which is great! For our first day we had 225 kids not counting our junior high, teens, or adults so I feel like that's a great turn out since we just started our junior high department being separate from the kids. On the bad side of things last night I fell in the gym where there was a spilled drink that I didn't see. I landed on my knee really hard and my side, so for percautionary reasons my mom took me to the emergency room to get little Jay checked out and make sure everything was okay. About three hours later I was discharged with things to watch out for and just to basically rest my knee that I had busted up. Jay Jay was moving like crazy so everything was great with him, he had no idea what had just happened thankfully. Today I'm just sporting a lovely black and purple bruise on my knee and the inability to bend my leg but besides that I'm doing great. I'm just so thankful my little baby is fine:) So that's about all the news for this week I believe. Oh I also just hit my third trimester so I'm down to the final stretch! Yay!! Also little Jay is moving more and more and I can now see his little limbs and body roll across my stomach. It is the coolest thing in the world!! I love it!

My Glucose Test

So in my previous post about a week or so ago I commented about how I failed my one-hour glucose test my a few points so I had to go that upcoming Saturday to do the three-hour test, which is actually four hours in the hospital. Well I just found out that I passed the test!!! Yay!!! I was expecting to have no problems but you just never know and I am so ecstatic that there are no problems:)

Week 27- Hiccups galore!

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning- with a lot of medical help- if he were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.
Last night Jay Jay had major hiccups, he would have them for a few seconds and then a hour later he'd have them again. Poor guy:( He's doing great though, getting bigger and bigger. I honestly can't believe how big my baby bump is getting. It's no longer a bump its a mountain! I love being able to look in the mirror and see my little boy growing, its an incredible experience. He moves on a regular basis now. I've noticed he really likes Randy's voice. When I'm at home with Randy that's when Jay moves the most. This saturday is my very first baby shower and I absolutely cannot wait to attend. I actually went and bought a dress for it, because I wanted something special to wear. I bought a dress that actually wasn't maternity and will be able to wear when I'm not pregnant but it fits great now as well which is a good thing. It's one of those floor length maxi dresses that are in this year. I can't wait to wear it! Hopefully by next monday I will have some pictures of my shower.

Week 26

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
I had my most recent appointment yesterday and I had the one hour dreaded glucose test. Honestly the orange drink wasn't so bad. Now I wouldn't drink the stuff everyday but for what I had to do the drink wasn't bad. Unfortunately I failed the first test by only by a few points so now I have to do the 3 hour glucose test:( Which is more like four hours with all the stuff they have to do. So on saturday I will have the test. My doctor said that it is very common to fail the first test and pass the first one and since I only failed the test by a few points she thinks there will be no problem. Oh well we will see! My first baby shower is coming up super super fast. My choir director and choir is throwing me a shower at my church and will be on the 13th. I am sooo excited and can't wait! Also below you will see a picture I have taken forever to post. This one is my 22nd week picture...I'm a little behind unfortunately! This is a picture I took while I was on my vacation last month. I plan on taking an updated picture today and posting tomorrow hopefully! So stay tuned!
